FAQs
In a traditional sleeping bag, the insulation underneath you gets compressed and provides no warmth — it’s actually the sleeping pad that insulates you from the ground. A quilt is open in the back, which saves both weight and space in your pack, and gives you more freedom to move than a mummy bag. You can use our 3-in-1 Quilt with any inflatable sleeping pad, and optionally secure it using the two included elastic straps.
In underquilt mode, the Quilt also pairs perfectly with our 3-in-1 Cape, and fits most hammocks. For longer hammocks (over 3 m), the included elastic straps can be used as extensions.
Most people will sleep comfortably down to 5 °C, with a limit rating of 0 °C. For best performance, use a thick insulated pad (R-value ≥ 4) and wear light thermal layers. No beanie required — the detachable hood keeps your head warm even on cold or windy nights. Thanks to its synthetic insulation, the Quilt continues to insulate when damp and resists moisture far better than down.
A quick instruction label is sewn inside the stuff sack, and we provide step-by-step video guides packed with tips for all 3 modes.
The 3-in-1 Quilt is machine washable. Use a delicate cycle below 30 °C, and avoid fabric softeners or detergents. For best results, air dry and do not tumble dry.
